Felix

Felix is an affectionate and loving companion who gets incredibly excited to see his people. He might be a bit jumpy initially, but he settles down quickly and is always eager for a snuggle. His favorite spot? On your lap, if you’ll have him!

He’s also got a quirky side—he loves to chase and catch flies, which is always good for a laugh.
Felix has a warm, friendly demeanor and gets along well with other dogs, especially his foster brother. He’s great on a lead or harness and has recently discovered the joy of the beach, loving every minute of it. He’s still learning to play with toys and has such a gentle calm demeanor—he doesn’t even bark much.

This little guy is house trained and maintains a clean track record, even when left alone for longer periods. While he does struggle a bit with being left alone, he’s perfectly fine with another dog for company. When left by himself, he has been known to howl a bit, so a home where he can have a canine buddy or where someone is around more often would be ideal.

Felix is a keen follower and loves to be near you around the house, making him a great companion for a family that’s around often. Felix is a delightful and happy boy with a lot of love to give. I CAN FLY TO PERTH!

Flying for a few hours is very important for animals in remote locations because it gives us the opportunity to be adopted. Talk to SAFE about flying me to Perth.

4 THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE APPLYING:

1. Time Commitment: Owning a dog is a big responsibility and requires a significant commitment of time and energy. Be sure to consider how much time you can realistically dedicate to caring for a dog and make sure you are prepared to make that commitment.

2. Cost: Owning a dog can be expensive. Make sure to consider the cost of food, medical care, toys, and other supplies. You may also want to think about enrolling your dog in obedience classes or hiring a professional dog walker.

3. Space: Depending on the breed, some dogs require a lot of space. Make sure you have enough room in your home and yard to accommodate a dog before making the decision to adopt.

4. Lifestyle: Think about your current lifestyle and how a dog may fit into it. Consider if you have any restrictions such as travel, work hours, or allergies. Also, think about how owning a dog may affect your social life.

Adoption fee includes vet check, first vaccination*, flea and worm treatment, microchipping and sterilisation at a SAFE approved vet at 6 months of age.

*Puppies may require further vaccination(s) to complete the full vaccination course. This will be at the cost of the new owner and is not included in the adoption fee.
