Flake and Ashie

These two beautiful kitty cats two of the sweetest and gentlest souls that you'll every meet. They are very gentle, very loving and do not have a mean bone in the little bodies.

They can be a little shy at first and will take a bit of time to adapt to their new surroundings, but once they get to know you they will be all purrs and cuddles. Flake and Ashie are brother and sister and we'd like to rehome them together so that they can lean on each other for support in their new home.

Flake, Ashie, their 3 other siblings and their mum were found wandering around a back yard when they were around 6 weeks old. Luckily the home owner was able to coax them into her garage where it was nice and warm and that's where they lived as they grew up, as indoor / outdoor cats. As a result they grew up semi-wild but did bond quickly with their savior.

Once the kitties were a bit older this good samaritan reached out to us to help rehome them and the rest is history. These two are the last from that litter to find a new home.

Initially, when they first arrived in our care they would always be together, but lately Ashie has decided her favourite spot is inside up high in the wall cradle while Flake prefers to hang out on the balcony and watch the world go by. But both kitties love a pat and a scratch and will purr loudly when you approach them. They can both also be picked up and smooched once they get to know you.

We would love to find them a nice quiet home, in a nice quiet street, with a patient person who's willing to give them the time and love they need to build their confidence and start to come out of her shells.

We have no doubt that with enough time and love in the right environment their beautiful personalities will begin to shine through and you'll find yourself with two very smoochy and very special new companions.

Both Ashie and Flake are approximately 10 months old and have been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and are available for adoption right meow.

Urban Feline Australia is a newly established cat rescue service, run by one passionate individual with the help of friends and volunteers, that is dedicated to keeping cats out of kill shelters and helping them find loving forever homes. We specialize in helping "surrenders" which are cats that have lived with humans previously but for one reason or another their owners are unfortunately no longer able to look after them. We take your pets into our amazing cat sanctuary where they're treated with love and affection until the right forever home is found for them.

Urban Feline Australia is not a large company with government resources, a large facility and a lot of staff. Our tiny rescue is a one man operation run from the safety of our own home. We do this for the love of animals and our only agenda is to save as many cats as we can. We rely heavily on cooperation from friends, other rescues, our amazing foster carers and the kindness of strangers to survive. Every cent we receive from donations and adoption fees is used to keep our rescue running and cover the cost of food, water, litter, equipment and vet bills for the animals in our care.

We are doing as much as we can right now but our dream is to one day be able to purchase a larger property or facility that would allow us to be able to save the lives of many more cats in need. Perhaps even open a cat cafe so that we can spread our message to a wider audience.
