About 🐾Little Bean🐾
Little Bean is the sweetest, most agreeable little muffin you’ll ever meet. This guy doesn’t have a mean bone in his body and has nothing but sweetness and love for all he meets.
As you can see, Beanie has an XXL tongue blep 👅 and while it may seem cute, sadly, the inability to hold his tongue in his mouth is uncomfortable and extremely inconvenient for the poor lad, making eating, drinking and grooming very challenging.
The reason Little Bean’s tongue permanently hangs out is a combination of a large number of missing teeth and an extreme underbite. There is nothing we can do to fix this and unfortunately Little Bean will have to live with this issue for the rest of his life.
After some time in care Beany is doing well on a dry food diet. His new home will need to be willing to provide Little Bean with appropriate food and suitable bowls for his face shape. He also requires a daily face clean and would do best being kept in a short coat, as long hair is just too much for him to manage. While Beanie is pretty sedate most of the time, enjoying snoozing in front of a heat vent or watching the world go by out a window, he really comes alive when given interactive toys!
Anything that moves on its own is instantly of interest to Bean, who very cleverly tries to outsmart the toys at their own game! Little Bean has previously lived with friendly dogs and would enjoy doggo company in his new home. While Bean has lived with other cats, he's been pretty clear while in foster that he'd really like to be the only feline in his forever home. Bean is otherwise looking for a calm home without young children.
While in care, we have discovered that Little Bean has IBD (Irritable bowel disease) and have begun treating him for this. Going forward, Beanie may need to stay on the IBD medication, but this is just a tablet a day (possibly less) so it’s not a particularly onerous addition to his day. All going well he may be able to come off the medication in time and have his condition managed solely by his diet.
Little Bean has so much joy and love to bring to a very lucky home and we can’t wait to see him settle in and start his forever life!
Bean is looking for a home in or around Melbourne.
