This is Princess Lexi, the sweetest, softest tiny 7kg angel who is looking for that special family that can give her the life she deserves.

Lexi’s life so far has been a hard one. She was saved from a puppy mill where she was forced to pump out litters of babies who went off to loving homes, while she spent years languishing in a cage.

Before rescue, she had never known a kind hand or a warm bed, and watching her blossom and realise humans can be loving has been an incredible experience. In care she has gone from a timid, scared little girl to a snoring, snack loving cuddle monster who just wants to be on your lap watching movies and lapping up all the attention she missed out on all those years.

Lexis adoptive family will be ones who are looking for a family member who is inside and part of the action. She takes great comfort in the presence of other dogs, and would love a cuddly canine pal to make her feel at ease. She would do well in a calm, peaceful home, with older kids. She needs a family who can be gentle and patient with her while she learns you’re safe.

She is a very easy dog, toilet trained and sleeps about 22 hours a day. She loves a chin rub, and a soft treat. Her back legs have very low muscle mass from years of being confined, so a family who are happy to slowly and gently increase her exercise to build up her condition would be ideal.
