About Evie STA012829
Meet Evie, an absolute sweetheart with a gentle and affectionate personality. Despite facing some tough medical challenges, she has shown remarkable resilience and remains a loving, lap-loving companion. Evie's journey has only made her more endearing and special, and she is now ready to find a peaceful and loving home where she can enjoy her well-deserved retirement.
Evie's medical history is a testament to her strength and bravery. She came to us with several pressing medical issues that needed immediate attention. She underwent a left ear pinnectomy, had her non-functional left eye removed due to a diseased cornea, and had surgery to correct entropion in her right eye. Throughout all of these procedures, Evie proved to be a trooper, adapting to each new challenge with grace and resilience.
Now, Evie is ready to lay back and enjoy the life of an adored indoor feline family member. She must be in an indoor-only home to ensure her continued safety and well-being. Evie is the perfect companion for a household seeking a gentle, loving, and loyal feline friend. Her primary joys in life include curling up on a warm lap, basking in gentle petting sessions, and offering purrs of gratitude to those who show her kindness.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
