Hello world! I'm Rhea, a super affectionate tabby girl with so much love to give. My name comes from the Greek 'rheos', meaning "a flowing stream" and representing the everlasting flow of time.

I am a very special kitty, as I have shown that I am resilient, brave, and loving, despite what I have been through. You see, I came into care with SCA last year, after I was found tied up in a food sack and abandoned at a rural property. I nearly lost my life, along with my trust in humanity. 🥺 It has taken many months, but SCA has been dedicated to supporting my rehabilitation. I have learned I am safe, rebuilt a large amount of trust, and realised that I have SO much love in my heart! 😍

I will follow you around to seek your attention and smooch against anything and EVERYTHING in sight, while I stare at you with love and bake biscuits on the go. My nickname is "Happy Feet" because even when I sit still or roll over, my paws are still moving. 😘 I adore cheek rubs, face and neck scritches, and gentle pats from nose to tail! You'll also be treated to the soothing sound of my purring which gently rumbles on in happiness. When I've had enough attention, I'll settle in next to you and keep you company. 💕

I happily cohabitate with other cats and dogs who like having a friend around but enjoy their own space. 🥰 Though affection is my main love language, I do enjoy playing with dangling cat wand toys, big fluffy pom-poms, and the tweeting bird toy. I also like to use the sisal on the cat scratcher tower to keep my claws neat.

I am well-mannered with my litter tray use and make minimal mess. As for my food habits, I'm a grazer and am more comfortable eating smaller portions over the course of the day. I prefer having a crunch on my biccies, though also appreciate a bit of wet food. I stay well-hydrated and love to drink water, especially from the water fountain.

You understand cat behaviour and respect my boundaries, giving me affection when I seek it and my own space when I need it. You give me unconditional love and the predictability of a routine. This helps support my sense of safety and is essential in building a trusting bond together. PLEASE NOTE THAT SCA DOES NOT CONDONE ROAMING CATS – when applying to adopt me, it is expected that I will be kept as an indoor only cat and/or in a suitable outdoor enclosure.

All applications will be assessed for suitability and compatibility. Approved adoptions will commence with a two week trial, after which time the adoption will be final and the microchip will be transferred to you.

Medical Notes:
Due to the trauma I experienced prior to rescue, it is suspected that I may have acquired a 'mild' brain injury. You will sometimes see my head shake slightly, or notice I change my mind about what I am doing. Otherwise, I am like any other cat! I will need a supportive forever family to help me continue to build my trust in my own abilities and in our companionship. 💕

I tested negative for FIV/FeLV and have been an inside only kitty since. I should be kept inside or in an enclosure to keep me (and the wildlife!) safe and healthy.
