About Pugsley (On Trial)
Pugsley started a 2 week trial in a new home on 8/5/11. See over 70 other available dogs at www. Dogrescuenewcastle. Com. Au
pugsley is a 10 month old pug cross. This wonderful little guy has got personality plus and a cute face to match! he is full of puppy playfulness and loves everyone and everything he can get his little paws on. He is friendly towards everyone, including small children, and will stand on his back legs to get your attention for a pat and a cuddle. . . . Pugsley also loves to meet and play with other dogs of any breed or age as long as they are as interested in running around and chasing him as much as he is with them. Because pugsley is still very young, he tends to jump and nip at your hands and feet when he is very excited, a habit we have been working on correcting. Pugsley would benefit from obedience classes to stimulate his mind and to teach him a few tricks. He has started to respond to his name better but he is still working on coming back when called. If you are willing to take a bit of time to continue pugsley's training (he is still very young after all) he will continue to mature and improve into an even more wonderful companion and amusing little mate. . . . Pugsley (or pugs as he has come to be known) has a noticeable underbite which is very common in pugs. It makes him look like he is constantly smiling at you. When he looks up at you with those brown puppy eyes and smiling mouth you can't resist picking him up for a much deserved cuddle!. . . Pugsley came into our care around 4 weeks ago and really has already become part of our foster family. . . . He loves going for walks and will need to a home with someone who can take him at least once a day for a walk or to the park to socialise with other dogs. He walks very well on a lead. Exercise is a crucial part of his daily routine as this breed tends to put on weight easily. Pugsley will also need a home with a fair sized backyard as he loves to run around and play with his toys outside during the day while we are not home. . . . Pugsley would be well suited to a home that has another young dog that is looking for a play mate, and where he will become a part of the family. He loves being on your lap or next to you outside in the sunshine. He currently sleeps outside in his kennel but will definitely need to sleep inside as the weather gets cooler. He is toilet trained but, being a male dog, may try to mark his territory inside when he arrives at somewhere new. This stops after a short time and is not a problem is you just watch him when he first arrives. . . . Pugsley is a wonderful dog who is in perfect condition and was not treated badly before coming into care. He deserves the best forever home where we will never find himself at the pound again. . . . *** please see more photos of pugsley, at http://tinyurl. Pugsley's underbite, common in pugs, may mean he will need to have his teeth cleaned at the vet when he is older
