About Shelby
Phoenix Animal Rescue and Koolie Rescue are working together to find Shelby a perfect match home.
Shelby is a beautiful Koolie boy (a stunning looking lad) that just needs someone to love him as much as he woud love them.
Shelby is a 2 year 4 month old desexed Koolie male. Until recently (last 5 months) he lived on a cattle farm with other dogs. Shelby decided the working life was not for him and would prefer to kick back on the couch.
Shelby has been raised around children however we are not too sure he really likes the life with the hustle and bustle of noisey and fast moving kids.
On the farm Shelby would have either been with his humans or safely contained in a secure run (most likely the off the ground run a lot of farmers use).
Shelby came to live in the Wimmera and he has been struggling with the dramatic changes in his lifestyle. Shelby loves his people in typical Koolie fashion. He does not want to be a farm working dog. Shelby wants to be a companion, go for walks & runs and drives in the car and then kick back on the couch type of dog.
Life of the farm is very different so Shelby has found himself confused and scared when left alone. He has then dug out or jumped fences. Shelby needs a nice secure, roofed and solid floor run to be contained in when not by his human's side.
Shelby has a lot of love to give he just needs a human to shower it on. He is house trained and is learning basic commands.
Shelby is desexed, vaccinated, flea and worm treated and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500 to cover our vet costs.
If you think you could be a match for this stunning boy who is just a little lost at the moment contact Carolyn on 0427 221 231.
Koolie Rescue are also on the search for a match.

Adoption details
We like to take the personal approach where a person sends an email of interest around an animal and then we will follow up with phone discussions and email exploration through a survey.
Please note we are a small group of volunteers that balances the administrative side with the care of the animals.
Please only apply for one of our animals if you are genuinely interested in them.
We expect the prospective owner to travel to meet the animal and we are open to trial periods to ensure we have the match right.
