About Billie
Billie is a 6 month old pretty & petite smart little Kelpie who is learning fast & adapting to the new world she is discovering after being in a rural pound she is now in a loving foster home & thriving.
If you’re looking for a Kelpie in a fun-sized package, Billie is your ultimate wingwoman. At just 6 months old, she weighs a petite 6.85kg and is expected to mature to around 10-12kg—(about the size of a mini cavoodle) which is pretty much as small as Kelpies come.
Billie still has that playful puppy vibe and is eager to be shaped into your perfect companion. She is cute as a button and a delight to be around. Billie is full of love and will happily cuddle you, lie on your feet… As much love as you want to give, she will take!
Billie will thrive with a human dedicated to her training and development—puppy school would be a great for her.
Billie has recall and knows sit, spin, touch & place and jumps into the back of the car with some encouragement. While she’s improving in foster care, she is still a bit timid and may be fearful of loud noises & when meeting new people she is shy at first
Billie is crate-trained and can be left alone in her crate for several hours, making her a good match for someone who can accommodate this in their routine. Over time, she may be comfortable staying home alone while you work. So far, she hasn’t shown signs of separation anxiety, though longer absences haven’t been tested yet. Her foster carer is also working on her toilet training and basic commands, and she’s making great progress.
Billie is currently living with another, slightly older Kelpie, and they get along well - sharing toys, wrestling and walking together on lead. Billie could thrive as an only dog, soaking up all the attention, or with a well-matched doggie friend.
Billie is in foster care on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and is available for meet-and-greets.
