A patient adopter who can recognize Maddie's timid nature and provide her with the time and space to settle in is recommended. Maddie may do well in a home with another cat or a calm social dog, with proper monitoring of interactions. Teenagers or older children who understand basic cat body language and know when to give Maddie space are also recommended.
