About Skadoos
Meet Skadoos!
Skadoos is an 1-year-old Golden Labrador with a heart full of love and an adorable personality that will win you over in no time. Though she has never been an inside dog, Skadoos dreams of being a part of a family where she can join in on all the fun, especially during family nights inside. This super cute pup is more than ready to be included in all the activities, snuggling up with you after a long day of play.
Skadoos is happy to live with kids who are respectful of her space and love her just as much as she loves them. Being a Labrador, she is naturally intelligent and will thrive with the right training, which she needs to become her best self. She loves attention and is eager to learn, making her a perfect companion for an active family willing to engage with her.
If you're looking for a bright-eyed, loving addition to your family who will shower you with affection and always be ready for some fun, Skadoos is the perfect choice!
To book a meet and greet with Skadoos please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
