About Maxxi Boy
Hey there, I'm Maxxi Boy!
I'm a 7-month-old Kelpie cross with a unique tri-color coat that always turns heads! I may be small, but don't let that fool you-I have a BIG personality packed into this little body. I'm full of energy and enthusiasm, always ready to run, play, and explore. I've got a whole lot of beans in me, and I'm looking for someone who loves adventure just as much as I do!
What do I love the most? Running around, feeling the wind in my fur, and living life to the fullest! I just want to be free to explore, sniff out all the interesting scents, and chase after every leaf that blows by. If you're into dog sports or enjoy spending time in the great outdoors, we might just be a perfect match! I'm eager to learn and really love being part of a team. If you've got some fun tricks or skills you want to teach me, I'm all ears-and paws! I'm a quick learner, especially when there are tasty treats involved.
Now, I should be honest-I'm still a bit of a blank canvas, which means I'll need some guidance, structure, and training to help me become the best dog I can be. But don't worry, I'm super keen on learning and love when people take the time to teach me new things. I've already got house training down, so you won't have to worry about any accidents indoors! I love hanging out inside with the family, and when it's time to wind down, I'd be thrilled to cuddle up on someone's bed and dream of all the adventures we'll have together.
I'm great with other dogs and would be over the moon to have some four-legged friends to play with. I'd also do well with kids who are old enough to help with my training and understand that I'm still learning the ropes. I'm super cute (and I'm told my puppy dog eyes are impossible to resist), and I've got a heart full of love to give to my future family.
Toys? Yes, please! I love toys-especially the squeaky ones! Give me lots of toys to chase, chew, and carry around, and I'll be a happy boy. I also thrive on enrichment activities that challenge my mind and help me burn off all this wonderful puppy energy. Long walks, hikes, and exploring new places would be ideal for me. I'm ready to be your loyal sidekick on all your adventures, whether it's discovering a new trail, playing fetch at the park, or just hanging out at home with some belly rubs.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
