Dasha - 6 Month Old Poodle (Trial)

Dasha is a sweet, loving , 6 month old Standard Poodle. She will grow into a large sized dog.

Dasha has a wonderful temperament. She is a real sweetheart and loves being around people and other dogs.

Exercise:
Poodles are eager, athletic, and wickedly smart dogs. Dasha is no 'couch potato'. She is looking for a home where she will be exercised everyday for at least 30-60 minutes. She would love to play games and engage in activities with her owner to keep her brain occupied. After a busy day , she would love to cuddle up with her people on the couch.

Training required:
Dasha missed out on early training and so she needs a home where her owner is committed to basic training such as toilet training & core skills such as stay; wait; recall; getting in and out of the car independently; and walking on the leash. She is very smart and eager to please. If you have the time to train her, you will be rewarded tenfold.

Socialisation:
Dasha hasn't had a lot of exposure to the outside world and so she can be timid and cautious. When taking her out and about , Dasha's owners will need to take it slow and go at her pace. With gradual exposure to positive experiences in the outside world, Dasha will become more and more confident. She needs a patient and caring owner.

Grooming:
Unless you plan to keep your Poodle clipped in a short trim, you will need to learn how to brush them daily to keep their coat from matting. If you do not brush and comb a full-coated Poodle completely to the skin, the hair will mat near the roots and will have to be shaved off to start all over with new growth. Most pet owners opt to keep the Poodle in a shorter trim, which will require taking your dog to a professional dog groomer every four to six weeks for a bath, grooming, and nail trim. A professional groom can cost around $100. Please only apply to adopt Dasha if you are prepared to pay for regular grooming sessions (every 6-8 weeks).

Ideal home:
Dasha is used to being around other dogs and she is happiest when she's either with people or other dogs. Her ideal home would be with another friendly dog, however she'd also adjust to being an only-dog as long as she receives plenty of exercise.

Dasha is in foster care in Clarence Town, NSW. She is available for adoption interstate. Her adoption fee is $1000 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and microchipped.
