Meet Pouncival,

Pouncival is a gentle & overall happy chap. But he does have a stubborn streak & a unique communication style, so he is best suited to experienced owners. Pouncival is also outgoing & confident in himself & his surrounds.

He has a true 'King of the Castle' flare about him, often looking at us as if we are only here to serve him... I mean, it has been a while since we had Royalty at the ACF... He has a 'I'm too good for this condo' cattitude which truly makes Pouncival a very impressive specimen. He definitely knows what he likes, and what he wants.

Pouncy is suitable to live in any household environment all thanks to his agreeable nature but the household needs to be able to support his elated sense of grandeur. He is a chatty boy too; who loves to discuss his day & hear all about yours. But mostly, he wants to discuss himself - and that’s totally fine!

Pouncival is open to meet kids from 10 years & up. Reason for this is that, as we have mentioned before, Pouncy knows what he likes & doesn't like and he is not afraid to tell you, either. He has a unique way of communicating, which can be through vocal noises, love biting and even the odd (gentle) swipe here and there... He can be a bit bratty, but Pouncy assures us this is how true Kings act...

Older kids will be more understanding if his behaviour & simply allow him to just be himself. Pouncy is most happy when allowed to just be himself & do what he likes. He isn't a huge fan of being picked up either (what dignified feline would, darling?!) - he prefers all four paws on the ground. He also is a little sus of pats at the start too, questioning where your hands have been before touching his soft, luxurious fur, but eventually succumbs to the idea & will happily lean in for them after a few minutes...

As we are unable to test in the environment, we are unsure if Pouncival would be suitable to live with dogs. This would be up to the discretion of his new owners.

Pouncival also seems interested in meeting other cats but he's equally happy to do his own thing. He will happily walk up to another cat, chirping as he does, trying to spark up conversation - honestly we feel that he is just announcing that the stately Pouncival has arrived & if he could do the royal wave, he would... But, if you do have cats at home, we recommend a slow & gradual introduction, not just for Pouncy, but for the existing cats too...

Pouncival should be an indoor only cat. The outside world comes with many risks, such as him roaming, getting lost, injured or worse. He should be inside where he is safe. He is also white, so the sun can be quite harmful as well...

Pouncy has low-range energy levels (he is a little bit lazy). We are yet to find a toy that interests him truthfully. As mentioned before, he prefers to watch the world go by from his ivory tower.

When it comes to food, he isn’t fussy at all – he loves anything on offer! A chink in his overall stoic demeanour...

Pouncival also uses his litter tray & rarely makes a mess or misses!

Staff Comments: Pouncival, despite his royal behaviour, is an adorable little cat. Sure, he may be a little sassy at times but he is quite affectionate when he wants to be. He would definitely suit a mature household.
