About Tinkerbell
Hi my name is Tinkerbell, I’m a 1 year and 8 month old Fox Terrier x Tenterfield Terrier
I and many others came into care from a backyard breeder and the rescue has made sure that all of us have had vet work completed and they are on a mission to find us our furever home
I came into care and was extremely timid and nervous - my foster mum said that I was so nervous and unsure for the first few days that I was named Tinkerbell as I was so sweet and needed a pretty name!
I did spend the first few days very nervous but also knowing that I was freshly washed, good food, some nice couches / dog beds to choose from and of course my foster mum giving me time and patience to settle.
The rescue does advise that this will probably needed when I go to my new home but if you give me a few days to settle and let me explore / trust I will be the bestest cuddle snuggle bunny you have ever seen!
When I meet you I will be nervous and so will my foster mum, as she has said that there is an amazing family out there for me but I have to give them a chance and they me - we can do this!!!!
When settled I love to sit on the lounge close to you, loves pats, cuddles, I will give you kisses and snuggles right up to your side , resting my head on you.
I will follow you all around the house, I'll become your shadow , and I definitely loves my one on one time with my humans
I used to live with some boys at the home so I’m okay with kids but probably not really loud energetic kids, a quiet home would be great.
I didn't have a lot of human socialization until I came into care , I am wary of meeting new people – so anyone who meets me MUST give me the time to adjust and come up to them on my timeframe. I am very nervous around men so ideally a home full of females would be awesome, or a gentle calm future dad who understands that it will take time for me to be comfortable with you.
I am currently in care with another small breed dog and I do love to snuggle up with him and also some play.
I currently get choose where I want to nap / sleep - you know normally places my foster mum's bed, Couch or my dog bed.
I am not tested with cats.
I am looking for a quiet home where there is someone home more often than not – either shift work, part time, work home, not needing to work, retired etc.
I weigh 6.8kgs
I have been learning to walk on a lead and is starting to gain confidence while doing this, I would love to have my humans continue to work with this and give me a chance.
My ideal home would be where I can be inside as much as my little heart wants and have access outside for business and some play and sunbaking. I wouldn't cope being a dog who was expected to spend hours outside
I am looking for my furever home with my humans so I can bond tightly with them.
I am toilet trained but may have an accident or two when going to a new house – I will just need a few days to settle and shown the outside to do my business.
I am looking for a home where I will be allowed the time to settle and my humans will continue to help him build my confidence and be cherished like my foster mum says I should be – are you that home?

Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. ** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
