About Ria (Prev. Fragaria)
• Currently living in an apartment
• Can do stairs comfortably
• Travels well in the car
• Toilet trained
• Good with alone time
Hellooo! My name is Fragaria, but you can call me ‘Ria’ for short. Did you know Fragaria is commonly known as a strawberry, so it’s no surprise that I am sweet and delicious!
I’m an easy-going, friendly and gentle 3-year-old girl. I absolutely love my walks and meeting new people and am – by all accounts – an absolute delight to be around (okay… I may have eavesdropped on some of the volunteers!)
I’m not fazed by other dogs and always keen to say Hello, but will need help from my humans on how to greet them in a polite fashion. I am just such a happy girl and want to meet everyone.
I have been in foster care for a little while now, and my foster fam can tell you a bit more about me:
"Ria is toilet trained and sleeps through the night. She is comfortable alone for around 3 hours; and previously managed 10+ hours in her former home. She Initially paced and whined when left but now settles well with familiar space, radio, and toys.
She is comfortable climbing stairs but dislikes rain and nail clipping. When it comes to meal times, Ria prefers cooked meats as raw can upset her stomach.
Ria walks well with no freezing and does not react to other dogs. She is polite on lead, understands “waiting” at crossings and “let’s go” when it’s safe.
She is gentle, sweet, very people-oriented, loves attention and gets excited to greet visitors. She loves couches, food, squeaky soft toys and long car rides (up to 4 hours) but needs to be lifted into the car."
If you think you may have room in your home for a sweet and delightful summer fruit, then I’m your girl!
