Hey there! My name is Ashtanga, but my friends call me Ash!
I'm part of the yoga litter, and my name comes from the traditional eight (ashta) limbs of yoga – a most special and disciplined practice. My amazing mum Vira took great care of me and my five sibs, but as we started to grow up she realised we needed to find our own way. She took us to visit Bloom Holistic Collective just in time for their cat yoga class, which got us brought into the SCA family! Since coming into care we've been to the vet for all the important stuff and learned the rules of the house.
I am a very shy girl at first, but if you watch closely you'll see me peeking around trying to learn more about my new surroundings! Don't worry, you'll know when I'm comfortable because you'll hear me wandering around chirping to myself! I'm also very good at helping myself to the pile of toys, and particularly like chasing little puff balls around! Playing with my kitty friends is great, but I'm very self-sufficient and am happy to play alone and entertain myself. I'm all for some cuddles, and will definitely come hang out if you have a fluffy blanket nearby that I can snuggle into.
I adore following my brother around and wrestling with him, and I’m sure I'd get along with other kitties if you introduce me slowly and give me a safe space to retreat to. Although I have not been tested with dogs, I'm sure that with proper introductions I'd get along great with some barky boys. So we can have the best possible start to our new life together, be sure to follow the resources in the email from SCA Qld to help properly introduce me to my new fur sibling/s.
I am a very dainty eater, and like to take my time and graze. I'm living with my brother now, so I prefer being fed separately... otherwise he helps himself to the rest of my breakfast! If I'm left to my own devices I'll definitely finish my meals. And don't worry, I’m amazing with my water and litter, so there are no worries there! I really am a wonderful little cat who will fit in with pretty much any family when I'm given time to settle in.
Are you my floof-loving home?? Fill out an application now!
Purrs and chirps,
