Bambi

Our active and somewhat complex girl Bambi is ready to search for her carefully selected home.

Bambi is a 9 month old desexed female Border Collie x Golden Retriever. Please don't just look at her photo! Read her profile information before sending us an expression of interest.

Bambi is beautiful, however she is an active girl that needs further training.
Bambi is throwing more the border collie genes in her behaviour. She will try and round up moving objects including children. Bambi is ball focussed and can expell some of her energy with that activity but is also food /treat orientated so these elements can be used for training.

Bambi loves her humans and having cuddles and pats. She is still learning not to jump up on people. For this reason Bambi is not suitable in a home with small children. We are looking for a home with teenagers or an all adult home (no people that are unstable on their feet).

Bambi has successfully been integrated into foster homes with other dogs. This however has been a slow and strategic process as Bambi gets very over stimulated, excited and snappy. With further exposure and training Bambi will continue to improve around unfamiliar dogs.

Bambi is in foster care with a dog savvy cat. She shows no aggression but once again will chase and try to round up the cat if it runs. Bambi can be interupted and redirected from this activity.

Bambi is crate trained and happily sleeps in her crate each night. Bambi will make a great family dog, she just needs more training which she is more than capable of.

Bambi has been flea and worm treated, desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $700.

✅️ Committed to indoor / outdoor lifestyle and sleeping in a crate at night.
✅️ Awareness of Bambi's need for physical and mental simulation. She is not a dog to be put in the backyard and left as she will be destructive.
