Mango Fluff is a very special girl. Why? Because only 20% of ginger cats are female, so Mango is in a very special category. But she has a sad story to tell…Mango became homeless when her previous owners abandoned her. For about three years, she lived on the rough streets, showing up at her current carer’s house every evening, hoping for a meal. Her persistence paid off when she was finally brought inside.

Despite her tough past, Mango has shown incredible bravery. She carries some trauma from her time on the streets, but you wouldn’t know it just by looking at her. With her beautiful ginger fur and stunning green eyes, she is a sight to behold. All Mango wants now is to feel safe and loved. She’s still wary of being handled too much, but in the safety of her crate, she enjoys gentle pats and connecting with her carer.

Mango is a curious observer, taking in her surroundings quietly when she feels secure. She LOVES her meals and now enjoys two a day. However, her street experiences have made her cautious. She’s wary of other cats and too many people, likely due to past attacks and being chased, by other cats and humans.

With know all this, Mango needs a home with an experienced cat owner who can understand her signals, read her body language and take things slowly with her. She doesn’t like loud noises or sudden movements and will hide if startled. She can be reactive and might lash out if touched unexpectedly, even if she initially sought out affection.

Mango Fluff needs someone patient and gentle to help her heal from her trauma. She’s not a clingy cat and doesn’t require constant attention, but she will quietly observe and gradually come out of her shell with the right person. With time and space, Mango will find herself again and thrive in a loving home. Mango will be adopted with her extra-large dog crate, blanket and box that is her safe crate, so that she has familiarity when she moves to her new home. Ongoing support from our behavioural carer will be given.

To adopt from us you'll be required to have minimum an online meet & greet, a remote house check, show photo ID & proof of address, and fill out & sign an adoption contract.
Our animals are fully vet checked, flea treated, wormed, vaccinated and desexed before being advertised. They are evaluated for behavioural traits, fed a high-quality diet, and any known issues are communicated. NOT NEGOTIABLE CONDITIONS: indoor only/restrained to property & must be fed raw or vet prescription wet food.
We will communicate through every step of the process to ensure that the experience is excellent and your feline companion is the right fit. Read the contract for T&Cs for returns.
You must have residency in Australia to adopt from our group. If you are visiting or on a visa, talk to us about fostering instead!
