About Kirra
Introducing Kirra!
Kirra is a Dalmatian born 28th April 2023.
Kirra was brought in to us as a stray and after talking to her owner they decided to surrender her for rehoming. They said she is a lovely dog, but their shorter fencing just isn't enough to keep her in. She was living with a Kelpie. Her surrender profile states she is house trained, she's good with dogs, kids & adult strangers.
Since being at the facility, Kirra has been very stressed. She is missing having more space to run & explore. As she has previously lived with another dog, we believe she is missing the companionship of another animal.
Kirra is a very active girl and will need an owner who can ensure she is physically & mentally stimulated.
Kirra is untested with other animals at this time.
Kirra is able to jump smaller fencing, so she will need a minimum of 6ft fencing.
Kirra has shown no signs of food aggression since being at the facility, however she has shown signs of separation anxiety. Kirra would be best suited to a home where her owners can be with her more often than not.
Kirra's adoption fee is $800 and includes her desexing and lifetime registration.
Kirra has been treated for flea and worms and is up to date with her vaccinations.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
