About Ollie
Introducing Ollie!
Ollie is an American Staffy x born approx 2nd September 2023.
Ollie was brought in to us as an unmicrochipped stray & unfortunately no one came looking for him.
Since being at the facility Ollie has won the hearts of all the staff & volunteers. He's incredibly sweet, affectionate & playful. He appears to be unfazed by other dogs barking around him and simply focuses on his handler or other humans in his vicinity. Considering he's only a young Staffy x he's very well behaved and quite gentle. He's very eager to please his owners and is quite an intelligent boy as well.
Ollie tested well with other dogs. He's very playful & wiggly with other playful dogs. When another dog snapped & lunged at him, he did bark back, but quickly retreated when told "enough". If you have another friendly dog at home, we will need to do a meet & greet with them, to ensure they get along before going home.
Ollie tested well with cats. He was intrigued, sniffed and happily moved on. Our resident cat reached out and touched him on the chin & Ollie gently sniffed and walked away.
*Please note, our cat testing is done through an enclosure. We cannot guarantee how they will respond to a free roaming cat.
Ollie has shown some interested in pocket pets, but is mostly happy to sniff & move on. When our rooster was crowing and walking near him, he seemed quite interested in him, but was easy to distract. We feel he could be suitable to live with caged pocket pets, however he may chase free roaming small animals.
Ollie has shown no signs of food aggression or separation anxiety while being at the facility.
Ollie's adoption fee is $450 and includes his desexing and lifetime registration.
Ollie has been treated for flea and worms and is up to date with his vaccinations.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
