About Otter
Otter is a charming blue American Staffy who, despite his early challenges, is now thriving and capturing hearts all over the Inner West of Sydney. This beautiful blue American Staffy was the tiniest in his litter and will likely remain smaller than the breed's typical size. He is incredibly curious, loves both people and dogs, and is bursting with playful energy. As a bottle-raised puppy, Otter is extra feisty and full of spirit!
At just 8 weeks old, Otter is already crate trained and eats well. He adores treats and gets super excited when he sees his humans in the morning, ready for playtime. Though he’s still waiting for his final vaccination, he enjoys exploring the world from his carry bag, popping his little head out to take in the sights.
Otter has a cleft lip, which doesn’t affect his health but adds to his undeniable cuteness.
My Ideal Home: I’m a tiny baby who doesn’t want to be alone for long periods, so I’d love a home where someone is around most of the day. I’m eager to start training early and have lots of fun with you! I adore basking in the sun, so a yard where I can play and chill would be fantastic. I currently love my foster brother (even if I sometimes snuggle too closely for his liking), so I wouldn’t mind a furry friend. I’ve also met a few cats and did well with them, though my focus is mostly on my humans.
I’ll need a home with discipline and time for my training. I’m feisty and energetic, so it’s essential to start puppy school and continue with disciplined training and obedience classes. Your investment in my training will help me grow into the best dog I can be, so please make sure you have plenty of time for me!
My Energy Level: As a tiny baby, I play for about 20 minutes and then nap for 2 hours. But don’t be fooled—I’m not a couch potato! I’m excited about adventures, beach trips, and long walks. I want to be your bestie and explore the world by your side!
My Suitability to Children: I have sharp little puppy teeth that I love to nibble on, so a home with older children or no children would be best for now.
My Suitability to Other Cats or Dogs: I absolutely adore my foster brother and would love a tolerant dog who can handle my energy. But I’m also perfectly happy with just humans!
If you’re ready to bring a bundle of playful energy and cuteness into your life, Otter is waiting for you. He’s ready to be your best friend and embark on many adventures together!
Medical notes
Otter has a cleft lip however this does not effect his overall health.

We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
