About Tigra

Beautiful Tigra is 5 years old, her family recently moved to the countryside and Tigra has decided that she likes to chase livestock, she is now chained up to keep her safe and is looking for a new home without pesky sheep around to tempt her.
Tigra is a great family dog, she has grown up with kids and is very tolerant of their overhandling. Tigra just adores her people and wants to be the centre of attention as much as possible, she is a vocal girl who will chat to you and beg for more cuddles and pats. Tigra has been an outside dog her entire life, however we believe she would love to come inside and be included as part of the family, she is an attention hog and just wants to be wherever her people are, she wants to be your entire world.
Tigra is carrying a little extra winter weight, she hasn’t been receiving regular exercise recently and has been slipped a few extra treats… with regular walks and good quality food, the weight will come right off. Tigra doesn’t have the best leash manners, she pulls in every direction wanting to sniff and zig zag, after being on a chain recently she needs to learn that leads are a good thing again, and that she doesn’t need to pull.
Tigra has a high prey drive, she has been chasing sheep recently and has also shown interest in cats, she will need a secure yard where she can be kept away from livestock and wildlife and will need a home without cats or small pets. Small fluffy dogs also trigger Tigra’s chasing instinct, she is best kept away from them.
Tigra typically gets on well with other large dogs, she is happy enough in their presence and to say hello but hasn’t played with another dog in a little while now. Tigra can get a little protective of her human kids when other dogs are around if she feels they are being too rough, but overall is happy to hang out. Tigra may be suited to living with an older, large-breed male dog, she would also be fine living as the only pet in her new home.
Tigra loves toys, her favourite part of the day is when the kids come outside to throw her ball and play tug of war, she just loves interacting with her people and will be your loyal best friend that follows you everywhere. Tigra loves to learn, especially when treats are involved, and shows off that she can shake paws when asked. Tigra would do well with further training, after being left outside to her own devices, her manners and leash skills could aways use some extra work.

Adoption details
We offer a 'Foster to Adopt' program. This means that the dog will go to live with their adoptive family for 4 weeks to ensure it is the perfect match for both the dog and new family. After the 4 weeks is complete, if all has gone well, the adoption is formalised and your new doggy companion is officially yours!
If you are interested in adopting from us, we ask that you fill out the Adoption Application form on our website (via the link provided below) with as much detail as possible, including the name of the dog you are interested in.
We do not rehome female dogs to a home where there is an existing female dog. Whilst there are always exceptions, it is generally unwise to have two females together; two males can sort it out, a male and a female can sort it out, but when two females fight, the results can be disastrous. For this reason, following the advice from numerous Veterinary behaviourists, as well as our own experience from the last eight years, we do not rehome females into homes with other female dogs.
All of our dogs are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated
Puppies (2 months to 4 months) - $1000
Puppies (4 to 6 months) - $800
Adolescents (6 months to 1 year) - $700
Mature (1 year to 6 years) - $600
Senior (7 years plus) - $350
