About Rose
🌹 Rose 🌹
HOUSEHOLD- This beautiful girl really is a precious Rose, and she deserves to be loved as such 🐾
Whilst Rose isn’t aware of her size or strength at times, she has the happiest, brightest, gentlest disposition. We believe Rose would make a wonderful family companion.
ON-GOING TRAINING- Rose is not overly food or toy driven when it comes to training. She does sit well when asked, but Rose will require further command training.
ON LEAD- Rose is a strong girl initially leaving the facility however, she settles quickly. She will require someone who has the strength to handle her until further lead training is established.
PLAY/TOYS- While at our facility, Rose has shown little interest in toys or play. She does, however, love your company and receiving attention from you.
OTHER DOGS- She has shown to be dog neutral while in close proximity or when she sees a dog in the distance. Rose has met both male and female dog friends. Her body language has proven to remain relaxed during these interactions, and she has always been happy to engage.
While Rose has shown herself to be dog social at the facility, we unfortunately cannot test for group dog settings such as a visit to the dog parks, beaches, etc. If you were hoping to visit these places we would recommend postponing your trip till around three months post adoption until she has had time to settle in and feel comfortable with her recall commands and bond with her new family.
CATS/OTHER ANIMALS- Intially Rose showed some interest and eagerness to approach our facility cats. On meeting, Rose gave a quick sniff and then happily moved on as she was more interested in trying to eat a nearby bowl of cat biscuts. We believe Rose could possibly be rehomed with a feline companion.
CARE/GROOMING- Rose allows all over body handling, although this cheeky girl can be a bit fidgety. She has a nice short easy coat to maintain that will require weekly brushing, monthly bathing, and monthly nail clipping to keep her looking good.
NUTRITION/EXERCISE- Rose is super eager to explore the outdoors, and she is a keen swimmer. Intially, Rose has energy to burn, but due to her size, Rose can tire easily, requiring short rest breaks.
Rose current has two daily meals and has no specific dietary requirements. Rose can be a fussy eater, preferring to graze on her food throughout the day.
BREED- Mastiff X DOB 29/5/2021
Rose is located at our Charmhaven Shelter. Her $500 adoption fee covers microchipping, desexing, lifetime registration, current vaccination, flea and worming treatments.
This beautiful girl has a love and zest for life. She is very social and truly lights up when she see’s her canine friends and people. We are looking for a family who can provide Rose with all the love and attention that she so deserves.
