About Jazzy
PLEASE NOTE THAT UNFORTUNATELY WE ARE UNABLE TO FLY OUR ANIMALS EITHER WITHIN WA OR INTERSTATE
NAME: Jazzy
BEFORE RESCUE: Came to SAFE Esperance from the pound
BREED: Terrier x
BREED TRAITS: Terriers come in all shapes and sizes and were bred for different reasons but many were for farm work or ratting. Today they are mainly companions. Terriers are generally high energy, very bright and quick to learn but can be stubborn. They have strong personalities and a sense of fun and want to be included in everything you do. Don't take on a terrier unless you really do want a companion.
**************************************************************************
ASSETS: Affectionate, eager to please, friendly, outgoing, obedient, confident, smart, active, sweet and playful! She’s a very lovable girl with a beautiful personality.
FAVOURITE THINGS: Jazzy loves to get out and about for walks and plays well with the other dog in her foster home. Her favourite game is tug of war. She’s very cuddly and will happily lap up all the attention she can get from her people.
ENDEARING FEATURES: She’s a smart girl who picks new things up very easily.
OTHER ANIMALS: Jazzy loves the company of other friendly dogs. She could also live with a dog-savvy cat, after gentle, supervised introductions.
GENERAL INFO: Jazzy would benefit from some lead training as she pulls on the lead at the moment when walking. She’s very nearly housetrained, and having a routine in place will help her with this. She will bark when someone is at the door. She has a medium to high energy level and definitely needs daily exercise and interactivity. She knows a few commands already but would benefit from some ongoing training – she would love to participate in training classes. If left all day, especially if not exercised, like most pups Jazzy will be destructive with digging and chewing so needs an active home that involves her in regular activities.
ESSENTIALS for Jazzy:
** A loving home with someone who can be with her for a good part of the day or can take her with them when they go out.
** She will need daily exercise, playtime and mental activity. A home that is willing to involve her in daily activities is essential for her.
**Jazzy would thrive with some training, she is a very bright girl and loves to please.
** Jazzy needs a fenced, secure yard with grass and interesting things to sniff and explore.
**Jazzy needs to be allowed inside the home when you are there and to sleep inside at night.
Jazzy could live with dog-savvy, gentle children over 10 who will be able to read her signals and engage with her on a daily basis. She would be happy to be an only dog in her new home to get all the attention but she would also love to be able to meet and play with other friendly dogs on a regular basis.
If Jazzy sounds like the perfect fit for your family, please send an enquiry and we’ll be in touch soon.
