About Bella
Introducing Bella!
Bella is a Yorkshire Terrier x born 1st March 2018.
Bella was surrendered to the facility as her owner is unable to keep her contained and she's found a new obsession in chasing ducks. For this reason she will need a home with no pocket pets. Her surrender profile states she is not house trained, has no food aggression or separation anxiety, she travels well in the car, is good with children & adult strangers, is friendly with dogs but not cats.
Since being at the facility, Bella has been an incredibly quiet and gentle girl. She loves a cuddle & belly rub, walks well on lead and has been an overall delight to care for. She did have quite a few mats around her face & privates, which have now been clipped away. She was very well behaved while being groomed.
Bella tested ok with other dogs. She was fairly scared around new dogs, but showed no aggression towards them. She was happy to sniff, then move on. When Bella was tested with large, boisterous dogs she was much more reserved and did a bit of a lip curl when he was in her face. She immediately settled back down once he was moved. We feel Bella could be suitable to live with others, or be a spoilt "only child". If you have a small, friendly dog at home we will need to do a meet & greet with them to ensure they get along before going home.
Bella is not suitable to live with smaller animals such as cats & pocket pets.
Bella has shown no signs of food aggression or separation anxiety while being at the facility.
Bella's adoption fee is $800 and includes her desexing and lifetime registration.
Bella has been treated for flea and worms and is up to date with her vaccinations.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
