About Ashie
***WE'RE ALWAYS ON THE LOOKOUT FOR FOSTER CARERS TO HELP US OUT SO IF YOU THINK YOU CAN PROVIDE A TEMPORARY HOME FOR ONE OF OUR BEAUTIFUL CATS PLEASE LET US KNOW. THE MORE CARERS WE HAVE AVAILABLE TO LEND A HAND THE MORE CATS WE CAN HELP REHOME***
This beautiful little lady is one of the sweetest and gentlest souls that you'll ever meet. She is very gentle, very loving and does not have a mean bone in her little body.
Ashie can be a little shy at first and will take a bit of time to adapt to her new surroundings but once she gets to know you she will be all purrs and cuddles.
Ashie has been in our care for a few weeks now and she is starting to find her confidence. He favorite place to hang out is on the wall cradle above my workspace and she will watch what I do from there and quite often give me a meow to say that she's ready for more attention and roll around looking adorable. it's very hard to resist stopping what you're doing to give her a pat.
When she first arrived we kept her in a big pop up crate for the first week as she was very intimidated by her new surroundings. Initially she would run and hide whenever you came near but over time she got used to my presence and started to appreciate a pat and a scratch. Now she demands it.
Initially we would recommend keeping her in a small space where she cannot run away and she can get used to your presence. Otherwise she will find a hole to hide in and you won't see her again until she's ready.
Ashie, her 4 other siblings and their mum were found wandering around a back yard when they were around 6 weeks old. Luckily the home owner was able to coax the whole family into her garage where it was nice and warm and that's where they lived as they grew up, as indoor / outdoor cats. As a result they grew up semi-wild but did bond quickly with their savior.
Once the kitties were a bit older this good samaritan reached out to us to help rehome them and the rest is history. Ashie is one of the last from that litter to be rehomed.
Nowadays Ashie likes to hang out inside, up high, and watch the world go by. She loves a pat and a scratch and can even be picked up once she get's to know you. She is not a lap cat at this stage but I could see her randomly jumping up on the couch one day once she's had time to settle.
Ashie also gets on very well with other cats but does get intimidated by strong personalities so she would be best suited to a household without any pets or with a cat who also has a very kind and gentle nature. She briefly lived in a house with a dog and did not like that idea so a household without a dog would be ideal.
Ashie's brother Flake is also available for adoption if you're thinking of adopting a duo.
We would love to find a nice quiet home, in a nice quiet street, with a patient person who's willing to give Ashie the time and love she needs to build her confidence and start to come out of her shell. We have no doubt that with enough time and love in the right environment her beautiful personality will begin to shine through and you'll find yourself with a very smoochy, very loving and very special companion.
We'd love to find her a home with a retiree or a homebody who's seeking a loving companion. She would also be a great fit if you're seeking a friend for your current cat. A household with young children would not be suitable.
Ashie is approximately 10 months old and has been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and is available for adoption right meow.
If you think you have the room in your heart and your home to provide this gorgeous little lady with a great life please let us know and we’ll be more than happy to arrange a time for you to meet and fall in love with her.

A little about us:
Urban Feline Australia is a newly established cat rescue service, run by one passionate individual with the help of friends and volunteers, that is dedicated to keeping cats out of kill shelters and helping them find loving forever homes. We specialize in helping "surrenders" which are cats that have lived with humans previously but for one reason or another their owners are unfortunately no longer able to look after them. We take your pets into our amazing cat sanctuary where they're treated with love and affection until the right forever home is found for them.
Urban Feline Australia is not a large company with government resources, a large facility and a lot of staff. Our tiny rescue is a one man operation run from the safety of our own home. We do this for the love of animals and our only agenda is to save as many cats as we can. We rely heavily on cooperation from friends, other rescues, our amazing foster carers and the kindness of strangers to survive. Every cent we receive from donations and adoption fees is used to keep our rescue running and cover the cost of food, water, litter, equipment and vet bills for the animals in our care.
We are doing as much as we can right now but our dream is to one day be able to purchase a larger property or facility that would allow us to be able to save the lives of many more cats in need. Perhaps even open a cat cafe so that we can spread our message to a wider audience.
We have recently created a Go Fund Me towards this end so if you would like to donate towards our cause please follow the below link.
