About Wick
Remember Wick?
This special boy came to us from an Outback QLD pound with his sister.
They were both incredibly timid and thin, but their lovely personalities shone through.
Both were adopted quite quickly but sadly, within days of being in his new home, Wick got out and was hit by a car.
He had severe injuries and the vet who saw him recommended euthanasia, but we knew we had to give Wick a chance, so we spoke to Dr Trin and she evaluated his x-rays and thankfully she agreed with us.
We had him transported back to our vets and he began the long, slow road to recovery.
Wick’s pelvis was smashed, and his hip dislocated but his beautiful nature remained unchanged.
Thankfully, Wick has recovered well, and he is ready to try his luck at finding another forever home. This boy is super special to all of us, and it will be hard for us to trust anyone again, but Wick deserves a great life.
Wick is INCREDIBLY DOG FRIENDLY! He has been around dogs of all ages and from 1.2kg to 50kg and has been everyone’s friend. He is fine with cats too (of course supervised introductions are necessary when introducing any dogs and cats). He loves people of all ages and is certainly not guard dog material.
This boy truly does’t have a mean bone in his entire body. He is still a silly puppy and very playful.
Even though he is a Kelpie, Wick is not a high drive, super intelligent (sorry Wick) driven dog, he is definitely a goofball who just wants to have fun and love his life. Wick’s world is full of rainbows and butterflies!
Of course, he has plenty of energy and loves to be part of whatever is going on. He loves to go on adventures with his humans and with his outgoing, friendly nature, he is the sort of dog who will light up everyone’s world.
Contrary to the photos, Wick is only a medium size. He is a KELPIE and he needs an active life.
This boy has avoided being put to sleep at the pound and survived being hit by a car. We have saved his life twice and now it is your turn. Wick is only 18 months old.
