Meet Mistoffelees,
Mistoffelees is a gentle, agreeable friendly & happy boy. So, it's easy to see why he is suitable for first time owners! Mistoffelees is confident with strikingly long (like LONG long) whiskers. He is also smart, able to pick up routine quickly.
He is easy-going & social and is best suited to live in a calm & quiet home as he is a bit sensitive to noise. We, the staff who work with him every day, are yet to hear Mistoffelees make noise that isn't purring. So, he himself, is quiet & he appreciates the quieter things in life.
Mistoffelees is open to meet kids, of any age. He is incredibly outgoing, social & affectionate & loves to engage with you. He is a super sweet boy who loves to give you incredible head bunts & smooches. He will actively seek out your hand for a good bunt! He is fine to be picked up, carried & cuddled, and loves to be petted all over! He may be a little aloof at times, sometimes he tends to zone out when you're patting him - we think he just loves it so much that it must put him into a bit of a trance...
Mistoffelees *may* be ok to live with dogs. We base this off him being interested in seeing the dogs in our kennels, but he was scared of their barking, so, maybe a quiet dog could be a potential friend for him? However, as we are unable to test this, we cannot confirm that he would be 100% ok to live with a dog. This would be up to the discretion of his new owners.
Mistoffelees also seems interested in meeting other cats but he's equally happy to do his own thing. He was a true gentleman, acknowledging that the other cat was there as he strutted by, but didn't make any moves to start up a conversation. So, with a slow & gradual interaction, we can see him co-existing with another cat but at the same time he'd be happy being by himself too.
Mistoffelees should be an indoor only cat. The outside world comes with many risks, such as him roaming, getting lost, injured or worse. He should be inside where he is safe. He also didn't like being out in the cat park, so he doesn't really enjoy being outside, anyway. He was on high alert when outside, and visibly relaxed when he was back inside.
Mistoffelees has low-range energy levels, he is curious but also a little bit lazy. We are yet to find anything that truly interests him, a wand toy kind of caught his eye, but 'why play when you can get pats' is his motto...
When it comes to food, he isn’t fussy at all – he loves anything on offer!
Mistoffelees also uses his litter tray & rarely makes a mess or misses!
Staff Comments: Mistoffelees just wants to love you. He seeks out your hand for head butts & purrs whilst he does it. He is super sweet & gentle and we just adore this little guy so much!

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
