About Huxtley
Meet Rocky,
a 2-year-old Weimaraner with a big personality and an even bigger heart! This strong and active boy is looking for a forever home that can keep up with his energy and help him thrive.
Rocky is a loyal companion who loves the great outdoors, and his ideal family will be active and committed to continuing his obedience training and socialization. While Rocky has a solid foundation, he's eager to learn more, and ongoing training will be essential to help him master his manners and grow into the best version of himself.
Enrichment Needs
As a highly intelligent breed, Weimaraners need plenty of mental stimulation. Rocky would benefit from puzzle toys, interactive games, and activities like agility training to keep his mind engaged. He'll also need regular exercise-think long walks, runs, or hikes-to burn off his energy and satisfy his adventurous spirit.
Training
Rocky's new family should be prepared to continue his obedience training, focusing on recall, leash manners, and impulse control. Positive reinforcement training works best with him, as he's highly food-motivated and eager to please. Structured, consistent training sessions will help him excel and deepen the bond with his family.
Socialization
While Rocky is friendly, ongoing socialization is crucial to ensure he remains well-adjusted around new people, dogs, and environments. Regular controlled introductions with other pets will help Rocky maintain his confidence and ease in social settings.
Responsible Ownership
Rocky is looking for a family that understands the responsibility of owning an active, large-breed dog like a Weimaraner. He will need plenty of time, attention, and commitment to ensure he stays healthy and happy. A home with a large, securely fenced yard where he can stretch his legs would be ideal.
If you're ready for a loyal, energetic companion and have the time to dedicate to Rocky's enrichment, training, and socialization, he could be the perfect fit for you!
