Nature
Petey found himself at the emergency vets with a terribly broken leg. The Angels jumped in to help out and took him into care. The next day, Petey was taken to the vets and it was decided the best course of action for a speedy and pain-free recovery would be amputation.

Petey did exceptionally well during his early recovery. Within a couple of days, he was walking around and did not appear to be missing his leg one bit. No longer being in pain was the best feeling. Petey is still a kitten and can be very playful.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
Petey hasn’t met any tiny hoomans, but he would likely get used to them and enjoy their company as long as they are gentle.

Petey lives in his foster home with 3 resident cats and 3 other fosters. He gets along with all of them but also likes his own company.

There is a medium size dog living with him and he doesn’t bother Petey. Petey tolerates him but is not a fan of his loud barking. Who is?!

Likes / Dislikes
Petey loves to curl up beside you on the couch and will stay beside you for as long as possible. He is a real snuggle puss. He loves company and being part of the family.

My PURR-fect home would be with a loving family. I would love to be the only cat but would also settle with a similar temperament cat. I am very chilled and not aggressive. Someone who works from home or part-time would be good as I really love company. I would settle into most families. I need to be an indoor cat, but an enclosed cat run would be okay.

Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.

*Vaccinations are subject to availability due to a worldwide vaccine shortage. Our adoption team will notify you if the cat/kitten you apply to adopt has NOT been vaccinated.

Medical Notes: Before coming into care, Petey suffered an injury that resulted in a fracture of his distal tibia bone to his back right leg which required amputation. He spent several weeks building up his exercise levels and was given the all clear by the vet. Due to this injury, he’ll need to be inside only, although access to a fully enclosed shaded cat run would be acceptable.
