- Large parrot experience required (Cockatoos, Galahs, Alexandrines, Eclectus,
etc.)

- Other large parrots considered - Has not previously lived with another bird

Meet Jake!

Jake came into the shelter after his previous owner could no longer look after him. He is now ready to find his forever home!

At 45 years old Jake is currently our oldest resident, though this doesn't stop him from getting into mischief. He loves playing with toys and ripping apart cardboard or newspaper. Jake is also a very cuddly man and loves sitting on your arm or shoulder for some scratches. Whilst being at the shelter he has been an office bird, which he enjoys a lot! He likes to think he is the office manager and wants to oversee everything that goes on, though at the moment he only oversees the disposal of sunflower seeds (a.k.a his favourite treat). Jake would love a home with someone who is retired or works from home so that he can have constant company. He has never lived with another bird but may be open to having a new friend after a slow introduction. Jake is 45 years old and can live for at least 40 more years, any potential adopters will need to take this into consideration before adoption.
