About Ophelia
Hello, I'm Ophelia!
I'm a 7-month-old American Bulldog mix with a whole lot of love to give! I'm already house-trained (yay for me!), and I'm dreaming of a home where I can be with my family all the time.
I'm still young and have so much to learn, but that just means I'm a blank canvas ready for all the fun training we can do together! I absolutely love human attention-so much so that I sometimes get a little too excited and jump up when I see people. But don't worry, I can learn to keep my paws on the ground with just a bit of patience and guidance.
I adore playing and exploring, and I'm always up for an adventure. I love other dogs and would be so happy in a home with a furry friend to play with and snuggle up next to. I'm just a big lovebug who wants someone to be around me, sharing all the cuddles and fun!
Are you looking for a sweet, playful, and loving companion like me? I promise to bring lots of joy, tail wags, and cuddles to your life!
To book a meet and greet with Ophelia please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
