About Bear
Meet Bear, a German Shepherd x Husky with the sweetest heart you'll ever find. Bear has been through a terrible ordeal surviving all alone in bushland for 3 months. When his rescuers found him he was severely malnourished and only weighing 18.9kg.
The most important need for Bear is to learn to trust and regain his faith in humans again. This will take the time it takes so Bear is looking for a compassionate, patient, understanding family to help him build that trust. If you have experience with the nature of German Shepherds and are seeking a loyal, loving companion, Bear could be the perfect fit for your household.
His gentle demeanour makes him an excellent addition to a home with other female dogs, even smaller ones. He thrives in social settings with other gentle canine companions, where he can feel safe and secure. Bear hasn't been tested with cats
Bear will shower you with love and companionship in abundance once he connects with and trusts you.
Bear is currently available for adoption in NSW, Queensland and Victoria. If you're interested in making Bear a cherished member of your family, you'll need to drive with your loved ones to meet him. Should he, for any reason, not be the perfect fit for your family, you would be responsible for either bringing Bear back to Sydney or helping us rehome him from your home.

To apply for a dog you can either click on the Enquire about the dog and we will send you an application form, or you can go to our website and complete an online form.

We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
