About Batmeow
Recommendations:
Must meet all family members
Kids (any age)
Inside only
Meet Batmeow,
Batmeow is friendly, happy & playful & is suitable for first time owners. He is fairly easy-going & social and is suitable to live in any household environment. Batmeow is fairly quiet, only meowing occasionally.
Batmeow is open to meet kids, of any age. He absolutely adores attention & affection and is fine to be picked up, carried & cuddled but he may get a little fidgety after a while if he is picked up for too long. But fear not, he’ll come back for more – he loves to cuddle into your shoulder for ultimate snuggles.
Batmeow prefers to be patted everywhere, all at once, every minute of the day. So, limber up for extreme pats, please!
Batmeow *may* be ok to live with dogs. We base this off him being interested in seeing the dogs in our kennels, but as we are unable to test, we cannot confirm that he would be 100% ok to live with them. This would be up to the discretion of his new owners.
Batmeow also seems interested in meeting other cats. He was trying his hardest to make friends with Denae (ID: 11370). So, with a slow & gradual interaction, we can see him being happy with fellow felines.
Batmeow should be an indoor only cat. The outside world comes with many risks, such as him roaming, getting lost, injured or worse. Batmeow should be inside where he is safe. As he is super friendly, outgoing & confident there is a high chance that he will wander off the property in his quest to make friends. Allowing him to be inside only will ensure his safety.
Batmeow has high-range energy levels, he is super playful & curious. He enjoys playing with all toys offered to him and will even make toys out of things that aren’t toys. Too busy to play with him? That’s ok! He will happily entertain himself without a worry in the world.
When it comes to food, he isn’t fussy at all – he loves anything edible!
Now, being a street cat, Batmeow had to learn how to use a litter tray. Needless to say, there were a few accidents, but he was committed to learning this new skill & has mastered it completely now. So, we would recommend having a few litter trays around the home, and using the same litter that we use just to make sure that his transition into a new home is flawless.
Staff Comments: Batmeow just wants to be all over you & on your shoulders. He will also softly bat you on the cheek & lick your face. He is a true Casanova! Batmeow also has no concept of 'slow down' - this high energy feline loves to run and slide around when he's out of his condo.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
