About Guava
Recommendations:
First time owners
Quiet home
Kids (any age)
No dogs/cats in home
Inside only
Meet Guava,
Guava is a friendly & happy girl who loves attention. She is suitable for first time owners and best suited to a calm & quiet home as she is sensitive to loud noises. Guava herself is a quiet girl, we don’t think we have heard her make a noise other than purring…
Guava is open to meet kids of any age, providing they are on the quiet side. Guava is affectionate and enjoys being picked up & carried, but she is also independent, so her only likes being picked up for short periods of time. She feels most happy when all four paws are on the ground where she can rub up against you & bunt you.
Guava is quite social when meeting people. She loves to engage with you on a serious level! She also equally loves her cheeks being scratched – with both hands, please!
Guava is not suitable to be in a home with other cats or dogs. She Becomes quite uncomfortable in their presence. But she absolutely adores being around humans.
Guava is best to be inside only. Not only for her own safety, but for the simple fact that she prefers to be inside only. We tested her in our cat park & she was quite stressed being out there.
Guava has low-range energy levels. She shows no interest at all in playing with toys. She prefers a leisurely approach to life, a comfy bed & of course love & adoration from her human friends.
Guava is not fussy with her food either, she loves all food that we offer her & she is super tidy, as she always uses her litter tray.
Staff Comments: Guava is very sweet, she constantly wants pats & will smooch against your arm if you're doing something other than patting her. She prefers if you use both hands for extreme cheek scratches. She is also exceptional at making world class biscuits.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
The adoption fee for dogs covers C3 vaccination, health check, heartworm testing, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
