Goober

Goober is looking for his new best friend and partner in crime, and he thinks you might be the one for him!

Goober came into our care as a surrender as his previous owner was no longer able to take care of him. Even though Goober has had a difficult few months, he's hopeful that his new family is looking for a beautiful boy just like him!

Goober LOVES his toys and treats and is a very smart young man. He already has some basic training and knows how to sit, and would love a family who can help him on his journey to be the best boy he can be!

Goober is a BIG, STRONG boy, so he'll need to an adults-only household that would feel confident handling such a gorgeous big boy. Goober does pull quite hard on his lead when walking, so he'll need go home with a harness (this is included in his adoption fee!)

Goober has also told us that he would like allllll the attention on him, so that means no other doggies living at home, and no little pocket pets or cats! While Goober doesn't want to live with another dog, he would benefit from positive introductions to other dogs and maybe having a canine friend in the future, once he's settled in with you and your family.

This sweet man is a little bit nervous here at the shelter, and needs some help building his confidence around new environments. That means LOTS of treats and positive reinforcement for this big boy so that he can be his goofiest self!

Beautiful Goober has shown us some signs that he's quite underconfident and nervous meeting new people. His new family will need to understand that unfamiliar people are quire scary for him, so he would be best suited to a quiet home, that doesn't have many visitors.
