About Holly
She is pretty, sweet and loving and enjoys nothing more than cuddles and lap time with her human.
* Can be snappy if feeling threatened* Holly needs a calm person who will bond with her and can see if she is not happy with a person or situation and act to help her.
She is super smart and enjoys mental stimulation, learning new things (especially if there’s cheese or dried beef liver incentives), lick mats with peanut butter are THE BEST as are snuffle mats so she can sniff out her breakfast or dinner (sniffing it out in the yard is just as fun!).
She loves to play with toys!!!! (just don’t leave them lying around because she really enjoys pulling the stuffing and squeakers out!) and she’ll play fetch till the cows come home.
*No kids in Holly's home, please. She would like one person to be her best friend and can get jealous.
Holly has been living nicely alongside another doggo but can be a bit bossy if she’s feeling tired or overwhelmed. She’s never had the chance to hang out with cats so we’re not sure how she would react.
She likes a calm and cuddly predictable lifestyle (not suited to an active household), snoozing in a sunny spot and will be completely devoted to someone who can continue working on her sensitivities with positive reinforcement.
She is used to being an indoor dog and sleeps happily all night in her crate. She’s a bit nervous about using a dog door but will just give a quick bark at the door when she wants to go outside.
She has a funny chatty growl when she’s trying to tell you something and listens intently to what you are saying to her.
Visitors will be met with lots of excitement, bum wiggling and licks.
Holly is a 2nd second-generation cavoodle (mum was a cavoodle and dad a poodle).
She loves her walks but tends to have heightened senses to smells and the wind, and is better not be walked on windy or busy days.
She needs someone who can pick up when she is feeling unsafe and advocate for her. She could be better socially with other dogs outside of the home.
Dog parks don’t work well as she tends to herd scary dogs and will be aggressive if she feels threatened, being a tiny girl she often feels threatened, but does look to her person for reassurance.
Holly is a beautiful, dainty, intelligent little lady who will be a great friend for her new human.
Medical notes
Holly is desexed, microchipped, up to date with parasite control and vaccinations and has no known health concerns.
Holly is currently on medication for her anxiety/sensitivites and needs to have extra
before stressful situations or grooming (she has always been well-behaved during
the groom but can be out of sorts afterwards when she gets home). These will likely need to be continued going forward.
She can’t eat chicken (as much as she’d love to) – it upsets her stomach
Her pet insurance has just been paid up for the next 12 months
