About Gia
Gia is a delightful German Shorthaired Pointer mix who is currently thriving in her foster home. She has quickly become a beloved member of the family, especially enjoying the company of her canine foster sibling. Although Gia can be a bit cautious around new experiences and environments, her resilient spirit shines through. With some gentle encouragement, tasty treats, and a reassuring voice, she overcomes her fears and embraces new adventures with enthusiasm.
Gia's gentle nature extends to her interactions with other pets. She has been sharing her foster home with a cat for the past two weeks and has shown nothing but kindness and curiosity, without any signs of chasing. Gia sleeps peacefully in her crate at night and enjoys lounging on her own bed during the day. Her charming snoring will make you smile-she sounds like a content, sleepy pug!
While Gia is learning to feel more comfortable being alone, she does experience some separation anxiety. She would benefit from gradual periods of alone time to build her confidence and independence, ensuring she develops healthy habits when left at home.
True to her breed, Gia is a high-energy dog who thrives on activity. She is fit, healthy, and requires plenty of exercise to stay happy. She's ready for long hikes or vigorous playtime! Gia is incredibly smart and food-motivated, making her a joy to train. She is currently mastering loose-lead walking, sitting, and recall. With an owner who is dedicated to her training, Gia will grow into a well-behaved, large-sized companion.
Gia is looking for a loving home where she can continue to grow and thrive. She will do best with an owner who is patient, encouraging, and committed to her training and exercise needs. If you're ready to welcome a sweet, affectionate, and intelligent dog into your life, Gia might just be your perfect match.
