About Giuseppe (Pep/Pepino/Pepe)
Are you a dog-loving person who enjoys the quiet countryside or a spacious home with plenty of room to stretch out? Well, Giuseppe is the four-legged companion you’ve been searching for! Pep is a sweet, cuddly soul with a love for the simple things in life—sunny spots, sniffy walks, and curling up on the couch with his humans.
Pep is looking for a home where his people can provide him with the following:
- A home environment that is ideally rural or with plenty of space for Pep to enjoy his own yard. He thrives in a low-key lifestyle where he can be part of the family, simply included in everyday activities.
- No children in the home.
- People who are committed to continuing Pep’s training and have experience with terriers, appreciating their unique outlook on life.
- A calm, low-traffic environment that isn’t dog-heavy. If Pep needs to exercise off-property, a home in a quiet area (not a dog-centric suburb) is essential—he’s not the social butterfly type.
Giuseppe, (or as his friends call him, Pep, Pepino, Pepe, and PrincePeppe) is as affectionate as they come. He’ll greet you with a wagging tail and a lick on the ankle, especially right when you’re about to step into the shower (his way of saying he’s always looking out for you). And if you’re relaxing on the couch, you can bet Pep will be there, resting his head on your lap or curling into a little ball beside you.
His happy place is by your side, whether you’re enjoying a quiet afternoon at home or heading out for a leisurely walk. And when it comes to walks, Pep truly shines as a “sniff master.” For him, it’s not just about getting exercise; it’s an exciting adventure, where he takes his time exploring every scent and discovering the world around him.
If he’s not out walking or curled up by your side, you’ll find Pep playing with his favourite squeaky toy. It’s his go-to for fun and games, and watching him play with it is sure to bring a smile to your face. Whether he’s tossing it in the air, squeaking it with delight, or just cuddling up with it, that squeaky toy is his absolute favourite!
Pep adores his human companions but has a more selective approach when it comes to other animals. He’s happiest as the solo pet in the home, where he can soak up all your love and attention—no dogs, cats or pocket pet housemates, please!
Pep also can take a bit of time to warm up to unfamiliar people, and feels safest in a calm, predictable environment, so a home without children or many visitors would suit him best. He’s not the type to bark at every little thing—only when there’s something truly worth barking about.
Pep thrives in a rural or very outer suburban environment, where he can enjoy the peace and tranquillity of a spacious yard or quiet surroundings. Whether it’s a property where he doesn’t need to leave the grounds for his exercise or a very quiet area with a nature reserve or secluded park, Pep is content with his little world and doesn’t need a busy or social lifestyle.
His current people have worked wonders in helping him feel safe and secure, especially when it comes to avoiding other dogs on walks, and he’s come a long way since moving to a quieter suburb. Pep’s ideal match is someone terrier-savvy, who enjoys a calm, low-key lifestyle and is comfortable with his reserved nature towards unfamiliar people. He prefers a small circle of trusted humans—about three people in his world is just right for him!
So, if you’re someone who enjoys a peaceful, predictable life and appreciates the quirks and charms of a loyal, affectionate boy like Giuseppe, then he might just be the one to bring some extra love into your life. Just be prepared for those ankle licks and the occasional fake toilet trip—it’s all part of the Pep experience!
To get things started on the right paw, Pep's adoption fee also includes a training session with a qualified positive reinforcement trainer. This consultation will provide you with expert guidance to help Pep transition into his new home and ensure a happy and harmonious life together.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
