Fred or Freddo as he is often called is ready to find his right matched home.

Fred is a young desexed male wire hair pointer cross with date of birth of 11 June 2022.

True to his breed Fred/Freddo is a lovely loyal boy that thrives on being the apple of his owner's eye. Ths boy has been in our care since late April 2024 as we work through his decompression and figuring out what makes him tick.

Fred would be best suited to a single dog home or with a very respectful sensible wirehaired older female as company.

He is true to his breed and Fred gets distracted easily by rabbits, bird's, cat's and will follow a scent to the end's of the earth. He isn't worried by load noises like thunder, electrical tools, gun's etc. Freddo has fabulous recall .. unless hot on the trail of something, then his ears are painted on 🤭

Fred / Freddo knows basic commands like sit, drop, wait and steady ... he does walk well on lead unless there is an overwhelming smell that is just too good to resist 😁

Fred has been an inside dog previously, but is currently happy being kennelled with the rest of the pack in foster care.

One thing this boy loves is to be the co-pilot on road trip's and hanging his head out the window.

Fred can be aloof when meeting new people, he appreciates patient, non intrusive people that give him space to make the right decision.
He equally loves a snuggle on the coach or out in the garden after a run around using that nose of his.

Fred is not suitable for a home with young children, cats, birds, chickens or pocket pets.
He continues to need some management around meal times and he can be a bit of a scavenger so that also needs consideration in the home.

Fred is flea and worm treated, fully vaccinated, microchipped and desexed. His adoption fee is $600.
