Harley is a lovable middle aged fellow. Harley probably hasn't met a lot of new people before and can take a while to warm up to new situations and strangers. However if you come prepared with treats and kindness this will speed up the process considerably! He does seem to prefer women to men although patient males will also find you can befriend him with a little patience. He can be fairly opinionated and like any mature gent his mood swings between grumpy old coot and the most loving bloke ever!
There is nothing Harley loves more than curling up on the couch beside his human to watch a spot of television and receive lots of cuddles and pats, or he also loves to go for a stroll in the great outdoors.
Harley would be a great match for a retiree or someone who is home more often than not, as he does get separation anxiety when his humans leave him alone. He has never lived with children so at this stage of his life Harley will require an adult home or one including young adults only. His coat will need regular clipping and grooming to prevent matting. The cost of this will need to be considered by his new owners.
He enjoys the company of cats, although is not keen on sharing space with other dogs.
Harley is fully house trained and will go to the door and give a little grumble to let you know he needs to go. Before leaving the house you can also put him outside and tell him to to go 'toilet'. He sits on command, offers his paw when given a treat and has previously been trained to touch your palm with his nose when told 'touch', before being given dinner.
Harley is allergic to chicken and is therefore on a completely chicken-free diet, including any treats.
If you're looking for a wonderful companion to share life with, and are happy to work with Harley's quirky personality traits, then please consider this deserving doggy.

ADOPTION NOTES
Our adoption process for the successful applicant includes a meet and greet, (including your own dog if applicable), a home check (or photos of your yard and fencing to be supplied to us if not local), and a two week trial period to ensure your chosen dog is the right fit for your home.
All adoption fees must be deposited into our SAFE Bunbury bank account in full before adoption trial starts (we cannot accept cash). The Adoption Agreement will be emailed to the selected applicant in advance of meeting your chosen dog.
After the adoption trial period has been completed we arrange transfer of ownership of the dog's microchip to the new owner, and email out the vet records.
