About Coco

Beautiful Coco is 3 years old and has had a rough start to life, used for breeding in a puppy farm, she found herself dumped in a kill pound when she became of no use to them anymore. Coco was saved from the pound a few weeks ago and placed into foster care, already her life has turned completely around, she is now searching for her forever home, where she will be spoiled rotten for the rest of her days.
Coco is a dream dog; she is quiet, gentle, and very well behaved, everyone that meets her quickly falls in love! Coco is the sweetest girl that just wants to be with her people, being told that she is a good girl and receiving unlimited attention. Once Coco feels safe, she is incredibly affectionate and loves pats, Coco will nuzzle at your arm for more and loves to snuggle up, she has even taken to sleeping on the bed of her foster parents.
Coco is looking for an easy-going and relaxed lifestyle, whilst she would be fine around children, a quieter life is what she desires, too much noise and chaos may overwhelm her. Coco has been integrating into life inside, she has taken to it like a fish to water and enjoys sleeping on the couch and bed, her toilet training is 90% there.
Coco loves toys, playing fetch with her people is her favourite past-time, although she is still learning to bring the ball back, once she has had enough, she will carry her ball inside ready for a snooze. Coco is also food motivated and thrives when praised, she knows her basic commands but would do well with further training using positive reinforcement.
Coco walks fairly well on a lead, she enjoys sniffing everything she can, the outside world is new and interesting, going to cafes, seeing different people and animals are all things that have been firsts for her. Coco will need ongoing positive exposure, and to take new things nice and slow at her own pace. Coco walks past other dogs with no issues, when they are close, she will pull to them to say hello but is easily directed away.
Coco tested well with other dogs in the pound, and we know she has lived around other dogs in the past… Coco may enjoy living with a male dog of similar temperament that is fairly chilled out, she wouldn’t like a young dog that is all up in her face, she has had enough of raising babies. Coco would also be very happy as the centre of attention in her new home, your one and only.
Coco barks at the neighbour’s cat through the window but has not been able to be tested in close proximity to cats or other small animals.
Coco would love nothing more than to spend her days by her people’s side, she would love someone home often so that she can follow them around, before finding a comfy bed to snooze the day away in. A relaxed household would be perfect for this gentle girl, she would be the perfect companion for a retired person/s or someone needing a loyal, no -fuss best friend that just wants to be loved.

Adoption details
We offer a 'Foster to Adopt' program. This means that the dog will go to live with their adoptive family for 4 weeks to ensure it is the perfect match for both the dog and new family. After the 4 weeks is complete, if all has gone well, the adoption is formalised and your new doggy companion is officially yours!
If you are interested in adopting from us, we ask that you fill out the Adoption Application form on our website (via the link provided below) with as much detail as possible, including the name of the dog you are interested in.
We do not rehome female dogs to a home where there is an existing female dog. Whilst there are always exceptions, it is generally unwise to have two females together; two males can sort it out, a male and a female can sort it out, but when two females fight, the results can be disastrous. For this reason, following the advice from numerous Veterinary behaviourists, as well as our own experience from the last eight years, we do not rehome females into homes with other female dogs.
All of our dogs are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated
Puppies (2 months to 4 months) - $1000
Puppies (4 to 6 months) - $800
Adolescents (6 months to 1 year) - $700
Mature (1 year to 6 years) - $600
Senior (7 years plus) - $350
