About Peanut
Meet Peanut!
Peanut is a sweet, curious little kitten with a playful personality and a coat as soft as silk. She’s a cheeky little adventurer who loves exploring, especially when it involves sneaking a peak into the dishwasher or attempting to swipe a taste of her humans’ food (though she hasn’t been successful—yet!).
While Peanut can be a bit shy at first and may take a little time to fully trust her new humans, once she feels safe, she’ll shower you with affection and playful antics. She loves a good play session, chasing toys, and pouncing on anything that moves. Peanut would thrive in a home with someone who will be patient as she warms up and who will enjoy throwing her favourite toys.
This hopeful and optimistic kitten always believes that meal time is just around the corner, and she’ll keep you entertained with her adorable attempts to sneak a taste of your dinner.
She would be best suited to a home with no children, or older & quieter children💕 Peanut thrives in the company of other cats and would do exceptionally well with a confident feline companion to show her the ropes.
Peanut is in foster care in Kangaroo Point. Her adoption fee is $300. She is too little to be desexed at this age but the rescue will cover this at one of our affiliated vets when she is old enough. Adopters will be required to sort out additional kitten vaccinations with their own vets, when they are old enough. If you have any questions, our lovely volunteers can happily talk you through the process💕

At Village Tails, we strive to make the adoption process as seamless as possible. We understand that bringing a new pet into your home is a big decision that will enrich your life in countless ways. That’s why we’ve developed a clear, step-by-step guide to help you find your perfect match and provide a loving home for one of our precious animals. Our dedicated team is here to support you every step of the way, from your initial interest to the joyful day you bring your new friend home.
How to Adopt: A Step-By-Step Guide:
1. Browse Our Selection: Visit our Animals page and use the menu to view the various pets we have available. Choose between cats and dogs to narrow your search.
2. Expression of Interest: Found a pet that captures your heart? Reach out to us for an Expression of Interest (EOI) form to initiate the process.
3. Patience is a Virtue: We meticulously review every EOI to ensure each animal goes to the right home. Thank you for your patience during this critical stage.
4. Meet Your Potential Pet: If your EOI is approved, we'll organise a Meet & Greet session. It’s a great opportunity for both you and the animal to see if it’s a perfect match.
5. Adoption Application & Home Review: If you're ready to move forward, you'll need to complete our adoption application and agree to a home review.
6. Review & Approval: Your application and home review will be assessed to guarantee a secure, loving environment for your potential pet.
7. Adoption Fee: Upon approval, you'll be required to pay the non-negotiable adoption fee. This fee directly supports our animal care efforts.
8. Welcome Home: Once the fee is processed, we'll coordinate the special day when you can bring your new pet home.
