About Pepe
Meet Pepe!
Pepe is a sweet and charming Kelpie with a heart full of love just waiting for a family to call his own. He's an incredibly loyal and affectionate guy who wants nothing more than to be by your side, whether inside the house or out exploring the world. Pepe would thrive in a home where he can spend plenty of time indoors, close to his favorite humans, following them around and sharing in their day-to-day activities.
Currently, Pepe is hanging out with a furry friend at the shelter while he waits for his forever home, and he absolutely loves playing with other dogs. He would do great in a home with another canine companion or regular playdates to keep him entertained. Pepe would be perfect for kids who have experience with dogs and would enjoy having a devoted four-legged friend by their side.
Pepe will need some training to help him learn the ropes, but he's a smart boy and eager to please. With a bit of guidance, he's sure to become the perfect addition to your family. This adventurous Kelpie loves exploring and would enjoy daily walks or hikes to satisfy his curious spirit.
If you're looking for a loving, playful companion who will be your best friend for life, Pepe is ready to fill that spot in your heart!
To book a meet and greet with Pepe please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
