About Tabitha
Meet Tabitha!
Tabitha is a beautiful 8-year-old Maltese mix looking for her forever home. This lovely lady is an older girl who knows what she wants - a peaceful, loving environment where she can be close to her person. Tabitha loves cuddles and is happiest when she's around her owner, enjoying some quality time together.
Currently, Tabitha is hanging out with four other dogs while she waits for the perfect family to come along. She is okay living with another dog, as long as they're separated during mealtimes to keep things stress-free. However, she's not a fan of cats, so a feline-free home is a must.
Tabitha would do best in a home with no kids or older teenage children who can respect her space and give her the calm environment she craves. She's an excellent companion for strolls around the neighborhood, where she loves to take in new scents and see what's happening around her. Since her recall isn't the best, she needs to stay on the lead during walks.
If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate companion who just wants to settle down and be loved, Tabitha might be the perfect fit for your family!
To book a meet and greet with Tabitha please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
