About Ziggy
Ziggy is an 18 month old staffy x (maybe Boxer?).
Located Alexandra Victoria. Can travel for meet and greets.
At only 20kg she is the perfect size, loves snuggles and wants to be close to you all the time if she can.
She walks well on the lead but like all dogs, could do with ongoing training.
She is good with other dogs but can be in their face so needs another dog who can teach her manners or is happy to play the same. She adores kids!
She has been in foster care for a few months and when she arrived could not be left alone for even 5 minutes. A few months in she was fine with another dog and the last few weeks so has been left totally alone so far up to 5 hours happily. However that means she needs to be comfortable and secure in her new home before she can be left for any length of time so patience is key for Ziggy.
She is a beautiful girl who ticks all the boxes – she is such a beautiful soul.
When she arrived we took her to work and she was overwhelmed with all the new people and nervous but with slow introduction and letting her go to people she is a very happy girl. She now loves coming to work and getting pats and tummy tickles.
She is full on playing with our red heeler but he tells her when it’s enough and she sometimes listens. We took on an emergency 4 week old pup foster a few months ago and she turned into a real mumma bear looking after it and as been so gentle with it. Now the pup has turned into a very annoying playmate who takes over and Ziggy tolerates it.
We have cats and have introduced her to them several times – she wasn’t overly interested especially when Penny swiped her nose she realised who was boss. However slow introduction and a dog savvy cat who won’t run is probably best as otherwise Ziggy may see it as a game.
Ziggy gravitates to women and will happily climb up on their lap for attention. She has some concern about men so if she is nervous she just needs to get to the male on her terms not be forced. She also is best to meet some males when they are seated as towering over her can make her nervous. She is fearful not aggressive, so will back off or run away if uncomfortable.
She is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and a very healthy little girl!
If you feel you can give Ziggy the perfect forever, home please fill in the adoption application.
