About Herbie
Hi my name is Herbie and I am a 6 year and 1 month old French bulldog.
I came into care after being bounced of the pound and as my original name was um a bit different, so the rescue decided to give me a name that was specific to me and suited me to a T - So hi I'm Herbie (the love bug!)
Herbie is an absolute sweetheart who is looking for his furever home to call him own.
Once settled Herbie loves to snuggle, go for small walks, have a play and just be near his humans.
Herbie will love to snuggle on the bed (if allowed) and couch.
Herbie loves to go for a walk and sniff the flowers and enjoy the scenery. Herbie is still learning how to be on a lead.
Herbie is dog friendly and has been around other dogs and is fine with them all until they annoy him and then he will pull them up. Herbie can be patient and share a home with one other dog who will give him space or very happily be an only dog and have all of his human's attention.
Herbie loves to do about 3 minutes of zoomies with another dog and then he's done for the day
Herbie can be nervous and shy meeting new people oh no wait no he's not - he is a happy lovable boy who just loves humans and loves attention and cuddles! His foster mum does mention that he is a happy little confident guy.
Herbie loves to chill with his humans but will sleep his day away if his humans are at work (or go out and explore the garden while you're out earning the food monies)
Herbie is toilet trained and would love a home where there is access inside and outside for him and of course air conditioning for those hot days.
Herbie is a gentle boy who is learning to sit and has lovely food manners and inside manners.
Herbie loves to have access outside to the garden and is the king of chasing / playing with lizards
Herbie is a NO with cats.
Herbie is child friendly and very good with young kids - he teaches them how to use little energy and snooze!
Herbie has the typical French Bulldog needs with skin and dietary - any frenchie owner will understand.
Herbie will be sleeping on the couch waiting for you to apply!!!

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
