Introducing Ernie!

When Ernie came into us he had recently been hit by a car and thankfully brought to the vet by a kind stranger. He has spent some well-deserved time recovering in foster care and is now ready to find his forever home.

His foster carer had the following to say about this handsome boy:

"Ernie is a peach of a guy. Only took about a day to get comfortable with us and is warmer every day. Loves a scratch or cuddle.
Talkative guy in the sweetest way. We'll definitely miss having him around and whoever takes him home will be lucky to have him."

Once Ernie gets to know you he is an affectionate and loving cat. He will need an adopter who can take things slow with him and let him trust you in his own time. When he is comfortable with he leans forward for head scratches and pats and absolutely melts into you - it's verrrrrry cute.

Ernie has some neuruological damage due to being hit by a car and you may notice some little quirks, such as circling or twitching, but we think this just makes him all the more interesting. Ernie is FIV+ so will need to live in a single-cat household, or a home with another FIV+ cat. Ernie would be best suited to live with adults and/or secondary school students. Our wonderful vet team will talk you through all of Ernie's needs so you can best support him going forward.
