Meet Kahu!

Found starving and wandering with his sister this little man found himself at the pound where he was lucky to be saved; now looking for his forever home, could this be you?

If ever there was a candidate for a "foster fail," it would be him. This gentle soul is truly special and he has melted our hearts. He may be shy at first, but once he learns to trust and love you, he'll never leave your side.

Kahu is a quick learner, he can sit on command after just a few tries and is making good progress learning to drop and walk nicely on a leash.

He currently lives with two teenagers, aged 12 and 16, as well as a 14-year-old female Staffy and two guinea pigs. He welcomes the kids home from school with a waggely tail and lots of hugs and kisses. He is curious and gentle with the Guinea Pigs, showing that he would be open to a home with Cats or other small animals with ongoing training.

Kahu is happy to chase a ball or entertain himself with his toys, and he doesn’t bother his foster sister very much at all.

He loves to explore the world on his walks, loves to sniff every tree and say hi to any dog or person passing by. At the end of the day a cuddle on the couch isn't that bad either.

Kahu will thrive in a home with a doggy friend and/or children to play with. He will need ongoing training, education, and outings to help build his confidence and allow him to truly flourish.
